Additive Manufacturing:
Learn more about additive manufacturing aka 3d printing. 3d printing is a rapidly growing technology that is changing the way products are designed and manufactured. Unlike traditional manufacturing methods, where materials are removed from a larger block to create a specific shape, additive manufacturing builds objects layer by layer using a variety of materials. We are at a point in the industry that Hobby and at-home 3d printing can produce consistent high quality items – both practical and fun. I provide a brief overview of the most common methods of additive manufacturing.
Filament
Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) 3D printing filament is the material used in FDM 3D printers to create three-dimensional objects layer by layer. These filaments are typically thermoplastic polymers that become pliable when heated and solidify when cooled, allowing them to be extruded through a nozzle onto a build platform to form the desired object. Free 3d Printing Files
Learning how to create your own designs that you can print is a useful skill to have. However, you’ll often find someone else already had he same idea and created a file so you don’t have to. On this page you will find files I have created and share freely as well as featured prints I have used in my videos. Enjoy this curated list.
